Julie LaBruna is the creative force behind Sunny Interior Design. Julie is known for creating warm contemporary, modern organic and refined coastal interiors that feel elevated, sophisticated and deeply personal.
Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Julie studied accounting and led a large team of financial professionals as SVP of Finance. Her strong project management skills and business acumen instill confidence in her clients, ensuring that projects are executed smoothly and efficiently.
Since relocating to West Palm Beach, Florida, Julie has engaged in numerous design projects before establishing her own award winning boutique design studio. She dedicated several years as the Design & Auction Chair for the RDK Melanoma Foundation, where events were hosted at the prestigious Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach.
Julie’s work has earned national recognition, most notably being named National Designer of the Year by the Interior Design Society in 2025 and, most recently, a 2026 Finalist in Florida Design Magazine’s prestigious Seaglass Awards. Her work has also been featured in numerous publications, including Houzz Magazine, CanvasRebel, Voyage Miami, and Stroll Magazines, as well as a national product publication that recognized one of her designs among The Best Projects of 2025. Julie is an active member of both the Interior Design Society (IDS) and the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA), remaining closely connected to the industry while continuing to create thoughtful, sophisticated interiors for her clients.
