Founder and Principal Designer | Julie LaBruna
Julie LaBruna is the founder and creative force behind Sunny Interior Design, an award-winning boutique interior design studio in West Palm Beach, Florida. Known for her warm contemporary, modern organic, and refined coastal interiors, Julie creates spaces that feel elevated, inviting, and deeply personal.
Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Julie brings a background in accounting and executive leadership to her design practice. Her experience as SVP of Finance shaped the business acumen and project management skills that help her guide each project with clarity, care, and efficiency.
After relocating to South Florida, Julie pursued numerous design projects before establishing Sunny Interior Design. She also served for several years as Design & Auction Chair for the RDK Melanoma Foundation, supporting events held at The Breakers in Palm Beach.
Julie believes great design goes beyond creating a beautiful space. It also means making the process feel organized, collaborative, and enjoyable, with each client’s style, budget, and priorities at the center of every decision. She listens closely, offers thoughtful guidance, and manages the details so clients feel confident and involved throughout their project. Her goal is for every Sunny Interior Design client to feel heard, respected, well cared for, and completely at home in the finished space.
Julie’s work has earned national recognition, including the Interior Design Society’s 2025 National Designer of the Year honor and recognition as a 2026 finalist in Florida Design Magazine’s Seaglass Awards. Her work has been featured in Houzz Magazine, CanvasRebel, Voyage Miami, and Stroll Magazines, with one of her designs also recognized in a national product publication’s Best Projects of 2025.
An active member of the Interior Design Society (IDS) and the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA), Julie combines creative vision with thoughtful execution to create sophisticated homes that reflect the people who live in them.
